Coming Home. A song about Memorial and days of remembering.

I was moved yesterday to stop what I was doing and go to my studio and record a track. I knew it would be called Coming home. So I press record on my digital audio workstation and got to work.. 3 hours and one big headache later. 😣
it was complete. My Dad was a prisoner of war during the second world for 3 years on the Czech/Polish border. It was his birthday a few days ago, he passed over some years back now. But I'm certain he was my inspirer. After all, he was the gentleman who arranged for me to learn piano all those years back. I'd love you to listen to what recorded. I hope it moves you too.

Coming home is a track dedicated to remembrance day or memorial day. No matter the battle you have waged, ultimately peace will be upon you. As the thunder rolls during the track we are reminded of the wounds of battle wherever they may have been. The healing beauty as the piano rolls reassures that the battle has passed. Through listening to this track we recognise the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms and acknowledge our debt of gratitude. We are all coming home, it is only a matter of time.
